His Majesty the King of Spain will inaugurate next week’s Global Policy Dialogue co-hosted by ICSR and the Club de Madrid.

The event will take place in Madrid on 27-28 October and be dedicated to the search for new and innovate approaches in the fight against violent extremism.

It is the first Policy Dialogue of its kind bringing together: the world’s leading experts, the political know-how of former and current leaders, and the practical experience of those involved in the fight against violent extremism.

The aim is to produce a new Global Consensus on how to tackle violent extremism.

Other participants include UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the Prime Minister of Tunisia, 40 former Presidents and Prime Ministers as well as 200 experts, practitioners, and local activists from nearly 50 countries.

This unique initiative reflects ICSR’s long-standing mission of bringing together knowledge and leadership, making first-class evidence-based research relevant to practical challenges and achieving results.
