UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the Prime Minister of Tunisia are among the keynote speakers at the upcoming Global Policy Dialogue co-hosted by ICSR and the Club de Madrid.

The event will take place in Madrid on 27-28 October and bring together 40 former Presidents and Prime Ministers as well as 200 experts, practitioners, and local activists from all over the world.

The Policy Dialogue is part of a unique initiative by ICSR and the Club de Madrid which aims to produce a Global Consensus on how to tackle violent extremism.

It is the first effort of its kind combining:

  • the knowledge and expertise of the world’s leading experts,
  • the political and diplomatic know-how of former and current leaders,
  • the practical experience of those on the frontlines.

This reflects ICSR’s mission of bringing together knowledge and leadership, making first-class rigorous research relevant to practical challenges and achieving results.

In this ground-breaking initiative, ICSR and the Club de Madrid are delighted to be working with the European Commission, the International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID), the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the United States Department of State, TRENDS Research and Advisory, Google, Hedayah, the Anna Lindh Foundation, IEMed, Diego Hidalgo Schnur, Telefonica, the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the City of Madrid, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Iberia, and Turkish Airlines.
