Sean O’Callaghan gave an interesting and insightful talk to a full room at the War Studies Department, King’s College London. As a former senior member of the IRA turned secret agent and informer he is well placed to give both a background and assessment of the state of dissident Irish republicanism.
In 1988 Sean resigned his membership of the IRA and voluntarily turned himself over to British authorities. He was released from prison in 1997 and published his autobiography The Infomer (Corgi, 1999).
