Speaker: Murad Batal al-Shishani is a London-based political analyst specialising in Islamic groups that operate in the Middle East . Al-Shishani is a regular contributor to both Arabic and English publications such as The Jamestown Foundation’s Terrorism Monitor, BBC News Online, Open Democracy, the London-based al-Hayat and many others. His recent book publications include The Islamic Movement in Chechnya (2002), Iraqi Resistance: National Liberation vs. Terrorism: A Quantitative Study (2005), and forthcoming the Geopolitics of al-Qaeda.
