As I have been following the news since the tragic killings in Toulouse, France I had mixed feelings about the latest developments this morning. As much as I was pleased that the assassin had been named and found I was also shocked and saddened by his motivations.
I was heartened by the statement released by the Palestinian PM Salam Fayyad when he came out and condemned the actions and his apparent desire to avenge the deaths of Palestinian children.
This once again shows just how important it is to strengthen and highlight the moderate voices in the Palestinian leadership and those alongside them who keep striving for peace, not just in the Middle East but worldwide.
